ЁЯзо Score Calculation Rule:

Raw Score = (Total Correct x 1) - (Total Incorrect x 0.33). CBT 1 = 100 Questions / 100 Marks; CBT 2 = 120 Questions / 120 Marks. Only the normalised CBT 2 score determines final Graduate merit.

Note: 1/3rd (0.33) Mark Deducted Per Incorrect Response in Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 for each wrong response.

RRB released the provisional CBT 2 answer key for Graduate posts (CEN 06/2025) on 15 July 2026, along with the response sheet, after the exam concluded on 10 July. The objection window closed on 22 July 2026. This page covers the answer key process and how to estimate your CBT 2 score.

RRB's answer key process for the NTPC Graduate CBT 2 followed the format the board has used consistently across recent NTPC and other CBT-based exams: rather than a single static PDF for public download, the provisional answer key was made available on 15 July 2026 at 4:00 PM through individual candidate login тАФ either on a candidate's regional RRB website or the shared candidate portal rrb.digialm.com тАФ alongside that candidate's own response sheet and the specific question paper used in their exam shift, since CBT 2 ran across multiple shifts on its single exam day with different question sets rotated between sessions. This personalised structure lets a candidate directly compare their marked answers against RRB's provisional key for their exact paper, which is a meaningfully more precise self-assessment tool than a single generic key would offer across a multi-shift exam. Accompanying the release was a formal objection window, open from 15 July at 4:00 PM through 22 July at 11:55 PM, during which any candidate who believed a specific question had an incorrect, ambiguous, or out-of-syllabus answer could submit a formal challenge online, backed by a fee of тВ╣50 per question challenged plus applicable bank charges; RRB's standard practice, consistent with prior cycles, is to refund this fee for any objection its subject-matter review panel ultimately upholds, while declining to entertain objections submitted after the deadline or through any channel outside the official online portal. It's worth being precise about exactly what the provisional key does and does not tell a candidate at this stage. On the calculation side, it allows a fairly confident estimate of raw score using RRB's standard, unchanged marking scheme: CBT 2 carries 120 questions across three sections тАФ Mathematics (35 questions), General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 questions) and General Awareness (50 questions) тАФ each worth 1 mark, with a flat one-third (0.33) mark deducted for every incorrect response and no penalty at all for questions left unattempted, giving a maximum raw score of 120 across the 90-minute paper. What the provisional key does not do is confirm whether a candidate has cleared the cutoff, both because RRB does not publish a cutoff figure alongside the answer key, and тАФ more importantly for this specific exam тАФ because the marks that ultimately decide Graduate merit are not raw scores at all but normalised scores, adjusted across the exam's multiple shifts to correct for difficulty variance between sessions using an equipercentile method; this adjustment can shift a candidate's effective standing somewhat compared to a purely raw-marks estimate, which is exactly why a strong self-calculated score from the answer key should be read as a directional signal of likely performance rather than a precise, guaranteed prediction of qualification. As of this update, RRB has not separately published a finalised, post-objection answer key as a standalone public document; based on how this board has handled the process in earlier NTPC cycles, the finalised key тАФ incorporating whatever objections the review panel accepted during the 15-22 July window тАФ is typically used internally to compute the result rather than being republished on its own, meaning the practical next milestone for candidates to actually watch for is the CBT 2 result announcement itself, not a separate 'final key' release. Most exam-preparation platforms have, in the meantime, used the 15 July provisional key to publish their own crowd-sourced expected-cutoff estimates, built from aggregated self-reported scores across the various shifts and zones, though тАФ consistent with the caution that applies to any pre-official figure тАФ none of these carry weight until RRB's own zone-wise, category-wise cutoff is published alongside the declared result, expected in the second week of August 2026. Candidates should also keep in mind that the Undergraduate stream (CEN 07/2025) went through its own, entirely separate CBT 1 answer key cycle earlier тАФ released 27 June 2026 with objections closing 5 July 2026 тАФ and that stream's CBT 1 result is itself still pending independently of the Graduate CBT 2 process described here, so candidates tracking both streams should be careful not to conflate the two timelines when checking for updates.

Frequently Asked Questions / рдореБрдЦреНрдп рд╕рд╡рд╛рд▓

Q1. When was the RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 2 answer key released?

On 15 July 2026 at 4:00 PM, through individual candidate login along with the response sheet, after the CBT 2 exam concluded on 10 July 2026.

Q2. How much negative marking applies in RRB NTPC CBT 2?

One-third (0.33) of a mark is deducted for every incorrect answer, out of 120 total questions/marks. There is no penalty for questions left unattempted.

Q3. Was there an objection window for the CBT 2 answer key, and what did it cost?

Yes, open from 15 July (4:00 PM) to 22 July 2026 (11:55 PM), with a fee of тВ╣50 per question challenged plus bank charges, refundable if the objection is upheld.

Q4. Does the answer key confirm my final rank or cutoff status?

No. It only lets you estimate your raw score. Final Graduate merit is based on normalised marks (adjusted across CBT 2's multiple shifts), and the official cutoff is released only alongside the CBT 2 result.
