SSC GD Constable preparation needs to account for two very different kinds of readiness, because unlike a purely written exam, this recruitment process treats the Computer-Based Test as only the first of several qualifying filters rather than the sole determinant of final selection. The CBT itself is a single 60-minute, 80-question objective paper worth 160 marks, split evenly across four sections of 20 questions each: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi, with every question carrying 2 marks and a flat 0.25-mark deduction applied for each incorrect response, while unattempted questions carry no penalty at all.
