Because IBPS PO Prelims and Mains are conducted across multiple shifts with varying difficulty levels, IBPS applies an equipercentile normalization method to adjust raw scores for shift-wise difficulty variance before applying sectional and overall cutoffs. Raw marking itself follows: Score = (Correct Answers x 1) - (Incorrect Answers x 0.25).

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection releases the IBPS PO result in phases — Prelims, followed by Mains, and finally the combined Mains plus Interview merit list. Candidates can check their status and scorecard by logging in with their registration number and password on the official IBPS portal.

IBPS declares the PO result in three distinct phases rather than a single combined list. The Prelims result is purely qualifying — it only tells you whether you have cleared the sectional and overall cutoffs to sit for Mains, and these marks are discarded afterward, carrying no weight in final merit.
